Dear Friend,
The 2020 legislative session is upon us, and Indiana lawmakers are wasting no time focusing on what they think is important.
Frankly, now is when we learn which legislators keep their pro-life campaign promises.
Rep. Curt Nisly has taken a stand for preborn babies killed every year by abortion in Indiana and filed the Protection of Life bill, HB 1089, which treats the unborn as any other living individual. Hoosiers for Life delivered 40,000 petitions supporting HB 1089 to key legislators last week.
If HB 1089 passes, abortion will be OVER in Indiana. No more pill mills, no more babies suctioned from their mothers’ wombs, no more selling baby body parts. Planned Parenthood will be forced to do what they say they do and actually help women for a change, or else close up shop.
An end to the legalized killing of children is what the pro-life community has been fighting for all of these years, and now a bill sits before the Indiana legislature which would finally end the slaughter.
Rep. Nisly fulfilled his promise and his duty to protect the most innocent and helpless people in our society, and now it is up to House Speaker Brian Bosma to decide what he wants to do with this life saving bill.
He can either assign it to a committee, or kill it. Right now, Bosma holds the bill hostage on his desk.
Bosma has already assigned bills numbered before and after, but he skipped right over HB 1089.
There is still time for the bill to be assigned, but why is he stalling?
Surely, the speaker, who claims to be “the most pro-life speaker in 40 years,” would be honored to ensure the bill lives on, proud of his fellow pro-life Republicans if a bill to end all abortions passed under his leadership.
I wish I could tell you I know for sure Bosma won’t kill the bill right here and now, before a committee chair has a chance to consider it, but sources have said since before session even began Bosma intends to make sure the Protection of Life bill dies. And, since Bosma is not seeking reelection, he may be more determined than ever to cause trouble for the Protection of Life bill and Hoosier babies.
Year after year, babies keep DYING, and when Bosma could help save them all, he decides now is not the right time. What kind of pro-lifer does that? The kind with a 1,000 year plan to end abortion.
If he follows through with his plan to kill the bill, Bosma will be sentencing nearly 8,000 Hoosier babies to death by abortion this year alone.
Friends, we cannot let this happen without a fight!
Even though he claims to be pro-life, Bosma has said, “We deal with these every session. You guys ought to be focusing on the stuff that’s really important.”
Clearly, we know what is NOT important to Bosma.
Well, it’s time to make pre-born babies important to him. Please, call House Speaker Brian Bosma to demand a fair hearing and a vote on HB 1089.
Bosma’s number is: 317-232-9677
It’s not too late to make our voices heard and let Indiana leadership know “We the People” demand an end to the legalized killing of innocent children in our state.
Thousands of people stand behind HB 1089, and Speaker Bosma needs to hear from us again. Will he ignore the 40,000 petitions we delivered to the Statehouse last week? Help me remind the House Speaker of what’s really important.
Do not delay, call House Speaker Brian Bosma TODAY and demand he get HB 1089 a vote on the House floor.
Brian Bosma can be reached at: 317-232-9677
We MUST be the voice for pre-born Hoosier babies appointed to destruction. It will only take a few minutes of your time to speak for the tiniest boys and girls in Indiana who cannot speak for themselves.
I’m counting on you to call Brian Bosma and be a voice for the voiceless. Even if you have called before, call him again today: 317-232-9677
After you have called, please sign your petition showing your support for the Protection of Life bill, HB 1089. Then, forward this message to friends who will call and sign.
Lastly, please consider chipping in $25 to help us reach more people who want to end abortion in Indiana. Even $10 or $15 would go a long way.
It is imperative you call Brian Bosma TODAY and demand he get HB 1089, the Protection of Life bill, a vote on the House floor. Indiana lawmakers need to know the pro-life community is serious about ending abortion in our state. The 1,000 year plan is not good enough.
Thank you so much for your support. I will keep you informed of Bosma’s next step. Meanwhile, you make that call and ask your friends to call. Babies’ lives depend on it.

P.S. HB 1089, the Protection of Life bill, has been filed and is waiting for Brian Bosma to assign it to committee. If he doesn’t, the bill will die, along with 8,000 Hoosier babies this year alone. It is time to prompt Bosma to do the right thing.
