Time is of the essence, so I’ll cut right to the chase.
The infamous Republican legislator Rep. Ben Smaltz, who kills the Protection of Life bill every year, is campaigning for other candidates who are refusing to take a firm stand on ending abortion in Indiana.
Rep. Ben Smaltz claims to be pro-life, but while in office, he does what Planned Parenthood asks him to do and kills bills that would end abortion.
He has also made public statements contrary to the cause of the pre-born.
First, Ben told journalists ending abortion would “set the pro-life movement back” and be “catastrophic” to the pro-life cause.
Then, Smaltz stated he believes abortion is a constitutional right and putting an end to it is a radical idea.
Not only that, but he also declared he would fight the government if his wife wanted an abortion and couldn’t get one.
And for four years in a row, Smaltz, has used his power as Chair of the House Public Policy Committee to kill pro-life legislation that would have saved 8,000 Hoosier babies each year, even ignoring 40,000 pro-life petitions.
Now, he’s helping other shady politicians with their campaigns.
My friend, if birds of a feather flock together, we know how Smaltz’s flock will behave toward our pre-born neighbors.
We must speak up now before Smaltz recruits more anti-life cronies.
Make your voice heard today. Call your local candidate and insist they support the Protection of Life bill, even if Ben Smaltz doesn't.
And, be on the lookout for a phone call from Rep. Ben Smaltz.
If you get a chance to talk to Ben, ask him if his politician friends will kill pro-life bills like he does.
Then, urge Smaltz to reverse course and to stand up for the unborn. Encourage him to share the message with the candidates he’s working for.
This is an important message to send to our elected officials and candidates running for office: we expect our Representatives to do their jobs and protect every unborn baby at the moment of conception.
The June 2nd Indiana Primary Election has turned out to be a hot race in many corners of the state, so believe me when I say this is the best time to speak up—it’s election time, so politicians are listening intently!
Do make sure you’ve signed your Protection of Life petition, and after that, I hope you’ll consider sending in a generous donation to help me continue to expose anti-life politicians and report their behavior to pro-lifers across the state!
